On Friday 7th June, all of year 5 had an amazing day trip to London. The children met at Skipton train station at 6:30am and took the direct train to London Kings Cross. After a journey across town on The Tube, the children arrived at the London Eye where they enjoyed the amazing views across central London. Following lunch and a bit of souvenir shopping the children walked across Westminster Bridge, past Big Ben to the Houses of Parliament. The children were treated to a full tour of the Palace of Westminster including the Royal Robing Room, the House of Lords, The Central Lobby, The House of Commons and Westminster Hall. The children then walked through St James Park, past Trafalgar Square and made back to Kings Cross for the return train.
A truly special day out with lasting memories. A big thank you to all the staff who made the trip possible.
